Meet the Baby Bee Yoga Team

Janeen - Owner/Instructor

My yoga journey began roughly 12 years ago. It’s cliche, but the moment I set foot on my yoga mat - my life changed. I found an intense vulnerability that allowed me to discover more than just what my body could do ON the mat, but off the mat as well. I discovered that it transcended into my daily life. That’s when I knew I had found something special, and something that spoke to my soul, my body, AND my brain. I began my 200-HR Teacher Training in 2015 and began teaching at various locations throughout Orange County.

It wasn’t until I had my daughter in 2018 that I recognized a whole new level of vulnerability that spoke to a completely different side of me. Becoming a mother brought new physical changes and limitations, new emotional challenges, and psychological changes. It also brought incredible strength and increased self-discovery. I had difficulty turning off the voices in my head that were saying, “You WERE able to do this pre-baby, why can’t you do it NOW?'“. These voices were eventually silenced by my continued yoga practice, but also from my own voice telling me, “I CAN do this! This strong body grew a human, you’re amazing!” We put so much pressure on ourselves as women, and mothers, to look and feel exactly like we did before we grew humans in our body! And that’s just not the case! We CAN continue our yoga journey - it just may look and feel a little different as a new mom.

I decided it was time to leave my 9-5 job after I had my daughter in order to fulfill my dream of doing yoga with her for a living! Previously, I had been working within the fashion industry, working for companies such as Quiksilver, Wet Seal, Tilly’s, and ASICS. I also currently teach within the Fashion Departments at Saddleback Community College and California State University, Long Beach!

  • Power-Sculpt - CorePower Yoga

  • Prenatal, Postnatal & Kids Yoga - Island Ayurveda & Yoga

  • Mom & Baby Yoga - MOGA : Mom and Baby Yoga Teacher Training

Janeen is also Adult & Infant CPR/AED certified and insured.
